Project Overview
For Blair Academy, a distinguished boarding high school in New Jersey, Naturalist created three immersive moss wall installations that bring nature-inspired storytelling into the heart of the campus. Spanning a combined 400 square feet, these preserved moss art wall gardens incorporate faux rock elements, layered preserved Mood Moss, Bun Moss, Flat Moss, Reindeer Moss, and preserved plants to evoke natural landscapes that encourage reflection, curiosity, and connection. Rooted in biophilic design, the moss walls support Blair’s mission of nurturing self-awareness, community, and global citizenship by creating environments that feel grounded, inclusive, and thoughtfully designed. These large-scale moss wall features serve not only as visual landmarks within the school but also as daily reminders of Blair Academy’s core values—empowering students to learn, grow, and engage meaningfully with the world around them.
