Naturalist undertook a monumental project to create a captivating moss map spanning over 650 square feet in the lobby of the Hilton Canopy Hotel in Bethesda, Maryland. This stunning installation depicts an old railroad map, paying homage to the rich history and heritage of the area. Spanning two floors, the moss map serves as a breathtaking centerpiece, captivating guests with its intricate details and immersive storytelling.
The Moss Map is a true testament to craftsmanship and creativity, meticulously crafted using over 660 square feet of preserved moss. Every detail of the old railroad map is faithfully recreated, from the intricate rail lines to the quaint townships and landmarks along the way. Spanning two floors of the hotel lobby, the Moss Map becomes a focal point that not only adds visual interest but also serves as a conversation starter, inviting guests to explore and discover the history and culture of Bethesda, Maryland.
The completion of the moss map installation has transformed the lobby of the Hilton Canopy Hotel into a destination in its own right, offering guests a unique and immersive experience from the moment they step through the doors.
