Having participated in more than 8 different trade fairs over the years we love BDNY the most. There are very few trade shows that truly cater to the Interior Designers and Architects of the hospitality and commercial sector, but BDNY does exactly that. Naturalist has nearly all of their completed work within the Commercial and Hospitality industry. This is why Boutique Design New York (BDNY) is our go-to show annually.
A high level, professional experience at the premier hospitality design event in New York City can be expected. This year’s iteration of BDNY is sure to be chock full of inspiration with showcasings of new and emerging trends and, for Naturalist Booth #2475, lots of thought provoking dialogue around Biophilic Design.
If you are not familiar with the show, BDNY features statement-making design products for hotels, restaurants, spas and casinos and other commercial spaces. More than 150 manufacturers set up booths on-site sharing their latest and greatest furniture, lighting, wall coverings, fabric, flooring and more! Naturalist will be there for the two-day show with their videographer and photographer in tow to capture sights and scenes around Javit’s Center in New York during BDNY on November 13th and 14th, 2022.
Naturalist at BDNY 2022
Unlike years before with a 100 square foot booth, Naturalist will exhibit in a 200 square foot booth as well as in the DLR Group Designer Space. The company was selected by the DLR Group to provide more than 500 square feet of preserved and artificial greenery to enhance their already stunning Four Season inspired experience based exhibit. DLR Group is most recently known for Boutique Design magazine recognizing the firm at its 41st annual Gold Key Awards for Excellence in Hospitality where DLR also received four design awards across four categories.
Naturalist was, in fact, recently acquainted with the feeling of winning an award at this prestigious trade show. With their 2021 booth design the biophilic design studio won the award for ‘Innovative Booth Design’. This year Naturalist has a booth planned that is sure to invoke an awakening, even if it is simply from the trance of analyzing the many innovations and materials for faucets, window treatments and other fit-out finishes while at the show.
Designing for wellbeing has become of increasing priority in the building industry as a whole but certainly more with a focus on the hospitality, residential and commercial markets. Naturalist has always had one simple goal: Let Nature In! Our green wall art has allowed us to do so for more than 10 years. Now with the biophilic trends that are popping up in more of our coffee shops and small businesses continue to be implemented into spaces that are frequented by the general public and private commercial sectors.
